I started my Patagonia culinary journey in December 2009, spending four winters in Chile cooking and smiling next to Chef Anna, creating farm-to-table cuisine from the heart. After a few seasons away from the lodge, I returned in 2018 when Chef Anna needed to leave the lodge due to a family illness.

I spent the month of March running the lodge and the culinary program, handling the day to day business of one of Patagonia’s prime fishing destinations. Patagonia and Martin Pescador Lodge are like a second family to me and I love everything about this magical place. In 2019, I found myself back in my culinary oasis from January through March, cooking and smiling as the Chef and Lodge Manager, running the day to day business so Anna Jansen cold spend time with her family. She trusted me with her business and it was an honor to fill her shoes. The journey is far but the reward is indescribable.

Staying, fishing, and eating at Martin Pescador Lodge is extraordinary. A typical season at the lodge is led by a Anna Jansen, a professional chef trained at the Culinary Institute of America. Meals are prepared by Anna and her talented staff. Americans and Chileans, working together, utilize locally grown produce in traditional Chilean and international dishes. At Martin Pescador Lodge, the dining experience is valued as highly as the fishing, and no detail is spared. From made to order breakfasts and riverside lunches, to three course dinners and Chilean-style barbecues, each meal at the lodge is a special experience.

Martín Pescador Lodge offers guests the chance to enjoy the very best of Patagonia fishing. We have top notch guides and first rate equipment and all around attention to detail to ensure you will have a great trip. Our diverse program offers three beautiful lodges to create one unforgettable fishing experience. We own and operate all of our lodges allowing our guests quick and convenient access to over 12 rivers and 8 lakes in the region.
